Our recent visit to Uganda allowed us to obtain sewing machines and on Monday July the 4th 2022. We aim to start our first 6 month sewing course with 6 girls who are no longer in education. They will learn how to make sanitary pads, and sought after items used locally so that we can sell them from our own market stall and generate income that these girls can not only get paid but learn how to run a business.
Just £50pm will give a girl the opportunity to learn a new skill! This covers facilitation, admin, materials and certification. The girls will develop new skills, build confidence through community integration, learn how to run an online shop and gain marketing skills, they will also earn a steady wage that can support further education and their families.
