YLN - Meet the Team - Karla
Karla Simpson

Co-Founder & CEO 

Karla is a Co-Founding member of Youth Link Networks. With a background in youth and
support work, Karla is dedicated to ending poverty and providing more opportunities for youth to test their potential and to thrive.
Karla works as the CEO to oversee the day to day operations of the projects, ensuring that all planning and strategies are in place to drive the charity forward.

Naomi Grossett

Director

Naomi sits on the board of trustees to ensure that the charity adheres to all of its legal duties and responsibilities. She is a key player in driving income for the charity and exercises her passion for girls education by being a direct liaison and spokesperson for the Pretty Box Project. 

Charisma Jones

Chair of Trustee Board

Charisma is the chair and trustee of Youth Link Networks. With a degree is law, Charisma takes the lead on the development of the board, ensuring its decisions are implemented
and with a heavy emphasis on legal and compliance. She also supports and supervises senior staff and acts as a channel of communication between board and staff.

Jessica Richmond

Treasurer & Trustee

With a professional background in finance and investment, Jessica sits on the board of trustees to ensure that the charity adheres to all of its legal, financial duties and responsibilities. Jessica monitors the charity’s income consistently and offers advice on strategic approaches to maximising income.

Rochelle Ampomah-Ababio
Rochelle Ampomah-Ababio

Trustee

With a professional background in Law, Rochelle sits on the board of trustees to ensure that the charity adheres to all of its legal duties and responsibilities. Rochelle is responsible for building CSR relationships with external organisations.

Paul Wandira

Country Director-Uganda

Paul is a Co-founding member of Youth Link Networks and currently working as the Country Director of the Ugandan charter. He is a dedicated and goal oriented social worker with a successful background in Social Work, Education and Program Management. In this role, he is assigned with responsibilities which include overseeing project operations, implementation and representing the charity as the focal person for partners, funders and other stake holders in Uganda.

Ismail Munyamu

Deputy Country Director-Uganda

Ismail serves as the Deputy Country Director and Senior Management Team (SMT) member in Uganda. As a medical student, Ismail shares much interest in the area of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and is a key player when conducting presentations for the community in this area. With leadership and humanitarian experience and enthusiasm, he supports the Country Director and the Board of Trustees in expanding the organisation’s works and building a strong and beneficiary oriented system for the organisation.

Uganda Co-ordinator-Pretty Box Project

Tabitha is the Pretty Box Project Co-ordinator in Uganda assigned with the responsibility to assist the Pretty Box Manager to manage the team on the ground and develop effective project planning and implementation to ensure overall seamless service delivery to the beneficiaries. Tabitha has a wealth of experience working with various NGOs and is a valued member of the team with her contributions.

Tenywa Jackson
Tenywa Jackson

M &E Team Lead-Uganda

Jackson is the M & E team lead in Uganda responsible for creating result oriented monitoring and evaluation strategies for all the organisation projects in Uganda. Jackson has an agricultural research background with vast experience in executing qualitative data analysis
programs.

Kisakye Sarah
Kisakye Sarah

Administrative Assistant-Uganda.

Sarah is the Administrative Assistant at the Uganda Country office. Sarah is responsible for handling the office’s day to day activities and providing administrative support to the Country Senior Management Team. She has vast background in management and social sciences having worked on various community programs with various NGOs as an
administrator.

Abusolo Richard
Abusolo Richard

Communication &  Engagement officer- Uganda

Richard is the Communication & Engagement Officer in the Uganda office assigned to collaborate with the Communication & Engagement office in London to formulate working communication and networking
strategies for the organisation both nationally and internationally. Richard has a Social Science background with experience in community and civil society networking.
